Since we use the BMF data for our rims, the support volume has decreased by about 80%. Complaints from our customers and suppliers have become an absolute rarity. The quality of our data has taken us to a whole new level.
About GETTYGO
GETTYGO is the online ordering platform for tyre dealers, garages and car dealers and offers an extensive range of tyres, wheels and parts as well as the associated full service. GETTYGO combines the traditional tyre trade with the innovative possibilities of the Internet age.
The dynamic and committed team with many years of experience in the tyre industry has one goal in mind: to make the procurement of tyres, wheels and parts as simple as possible.
Data delivery for the presentation of articles in the GETTYGO online ordering platform
Due to outdated master data for rims and incorrect vehicle-rim combination data, incorrect deliveries and returns regularly occurred. This resulted in increased support volumes and a considerable reduction in profit margins on the part of the portal's B2B customers.
In cooperation with the web service provider of GETTYGO, the database was converted to BMF data. In an intensive workshop in Augsburg, the available data were reviewed and determined which of them are relevant for GETTYGO. BMF then defined the tables and generated a first sample export. In a short time the interface could be defined. The BMF provides the necessary metadata including example data. The service provider's queries on the use of the data and the GETTYGO data specialists on special cases could always be clarified quickly. BMF's data experts support the customer in clarifying special questions such as the simple differentiation of light alloy rims or the identification of the latest expert opinion on a vehicle/rim/tyre combination.
Full data delivery of the relevant BMF databases
Significant increase in the quality of raw data
Latest master data of all leading rim manufacturers
Comprehensive combination data for all current reports
All necessary data for the representation of COC
When using the BMF web service to retrieve image data and compile it on the assembly platform, the extensive FAQ documents quickly provided clarification. The pictures of the vehicle, rim, tyres and brakes are dyed on-the-fly in the desired colour and assembled for the mounting platform. This requires particularly precise coordination of all the necessary information.
In order to ensure the problem-free Go Live date of the application, another one-day workshop was held with the implementation partner. BMF was able to successfully mediate between the technical questions of GETTYGO and the technical questions regarding the implementation on the part of the partner.
Since then, the BMF has transferred files with a total volume of up to 35 GB via SFTP twice a week. Changes to the master data can be made available within a time window of approx. three hours. All work steps have been automated so that the upload can take place outside office hours and thus without affecting day-to-day business. This guarantees on the one hand a consistently good performance and on the other hand the lowest possible loading time.
